Mo’s single… You like that? Hey? You want some of that Jewish intensity? Yeah, you do. Go on. Just dive in.

Motek Sherman is back to talk about many things I know nothing about. He does Chi Gong which I think is like Tai Chi: a similar art of exercising like old Chinese people in the park. Literally translated it means “Moving your Chi around”. What is chi? It’s your life force. What’s your life force? It’s… I don’t know. Is it your spirit? Your soul? Is it your essence, Dane Cook? It’s one of those things that many people foster and swear by but it’s not mandatory. It’s not exercise that makes you sweat, that loses you weight, that helps your heart part. It’s one of those things that I’d like to do but carving out more time for someone else’s esoteric idea of what meditation looks like makes me think alcohol is far more effective. A meditation that, to see any results, one must practice twice a day every day, every day, every day. And if you’re looking for results you’re doing it wrong. It’s not a results oriented business. Well, great, that takes the pressure off but if I shouldn’t be looking for progress then where do I put it on my list of priorities? In the “Do this for ten years but don’t think about it file”? There’s so much I could be working on without expectation. I need to have expectations about something. I’ve got all these unused expectation credits burning a hole in my pocket. Maybe that’s what my children are for.
